Indiana is home to the Indianapolis Colts, the 2007 Super Bowl Champions. With a team filled with all-stars, particularly three-time MVP Award Winner Peyton Manning, a trip to the newly built Lucas Oil Stadium is a must for all football fans! The public transportation system in Indianapolis is mediocre at best, so be sure to reserve a rental car in order to get the most out of your trip!
It is important to schedule your arrival before game day. This will give you a chance to participate in the “Blue Friday” event. Each Friday, fans all across Indiana wear their blue and attend official events
hosted by the Colts. These events change each week, be sure to check out the official Colts website for event details for that week.
While in Indianapolis, get a feel for the downtown nightlife. I personally recommend Tikki Bob’s, Have a Nice Day Care, 8 Second Saloon, or Rock Bottom Brewery for an evening filled with entertainment and fun. If you are looking for a sports bar, check out Champps where you can find endless games to watch as well as great food and beer!
Don’t stay out too late though; early arrival for game day is important. If you’ve brought friends along, take a trip to the local grocery store and stock up tailgating items. You are in for a treat once the game begins, no other quarterback is better than Peyton Manning and the Colts Cheerleaders ensure great half-time entertainment!
