Indianapolis Indiana is one of my most favorite cities in the United States to visit and luckily one of my good buddies from college lives down there so I have a good reason to visit as much as I can. However, with so many great places to visit in Indianapolis I would have to recommend that you get a rental car if you are going to even start scratching the surface.
Several times before I just used buses and cabs to get around thinking that it would save me some cash but in actually it would have been much more cost efficient if I had just rented a car instead. That’s what I have been doing the past three times I have been to the city and I have been able to double or triple the amount of great places I have been able to see.
One of the most fun places I have been frequenting when I go to Indianapolis is the Eagle Creek Golf course which is across the river and sort of on the outskirts of town and just getting out there from downtown is going to cost you as much as renting a car for the whole day, so believe me, renting a car in Indianapolis is a must.
The past several times I have been in town I have used Hertz Rent a Car right near the Indiana University and they have always treated me with respect and great customer service. I was in and out of that place in about ten minutes with a sweet little two door coup that was a blast to drive. So if you are in Indianapolis and you need a car rental, hit up the guys at Hertz on Washington Avenue, you’ll be glad you did!
