I have to admit, my uncle is a really cool guy. In fact, every since I was a little kid, I always wanted to grow up and be like my uncle. The reason for this is because he has a lot of great personality traits. On one hand, he is a very motivated person, and because of this, he has achieved a lot of success in his life. However, on the other hand, not only does he know how to have fun and avoid taking himself too seriously, but he also knows that the most important thing in life is family, and he has always found a way to make his family a priority (in spite of his always busy schedule).

Since I really do look up to my uncle, I always enjoy getting to spend time with him. So, when I found out that I was going to have a three day weekend for President’s Day, I called my uncle to see if I could spend the long weekend at his place in Indianapolis. He said that sounded great, so I got a rental car and made the drive up to Indianapolis.

As always, we had a really great time, and my uncle took me to a lot of cool places throughout his home city of Indianapolis.

When people ask me what my favorite thing to do is, the answer that I always give without hesitation is spending time with my family. You may think that I am just saying that to sound like a really good Dad, but there is honestly nothing in this world that makes me more happy than getting to spend time with my two kids and my absolutely beautiful wife (who I am proud to say I have been married to for just over eleven years).

Although I have bad days at work like everyone else in the world, the thing that always gets me through the day is knowing that as soon as five o’clock arrives, I can walk out of my office and head out to see the three people who can always put a smile on my face.

Because I love them all so much, I have made a point to make sure that we take at least one family trip every year. To keep things interesting, I always plan our trips to somewhere new. For this year’s trip, we have all decided that we want to go check out the city of Indianapolis.

During my four and a half years in college, I developed friendships with a handful of people that were (and have remained) extremely close. Although it’s not always easy to find a group of people that function well as a tight knit group of friends, for whatever reason, our group of friends hit it off from the beginning, and just continued to grow closer over time.

While almost all of us ended up getting jobs in the same city after we graduated from college, one person in our group of friends took a job in the city of Indianapolis. Although she is far away from us, we haven’t let that impact her position within our group of friends. We all talk to her on a regular basis, and she means just as much to us now as she did during our time in college.

Because we all found out that we were going to have some time off of work, we decided to surprise our friend by taking a trip up to Indianapolis. She had no idea that we were coming, so she was absolutely speechless when she opened her front door and we were all standing there in front of her.

Although you may not have known this about me, I have several different family members who call the city of Indianapolis their home. Although my parents do not live in Indianapolis, several of my other family members with whom I have close relationships live in this city. Because I do have family members who I care about living in the city of Indianapolis, I try to take a trip there every single year. While I would be lying if I told you that I made it there every single year, I did get to go to Indianapolis this year, and just like always I had an enjoyable time.

Obviously, the biggest reason why I like Indianapolis is because my family members live there. However, since I have spent a good deal of time over the years in this city, I have found some other things that I honestly like about Indianapolis. I think that at this point, even if I didn’t have family members who lived there, Indianapolis is a place that I would like to go visit on a regular basis, even if it was only for a couple of days.
